The New Field of Dreams?
If you build it, will they come? I’m sure that’s a question Joe, Barry and Art are asking right now. Kudos to Bullhorn for taking the lead in building a Web 2.0, community supported resource. As a marketing professional dedicated to serving staffing & search firms, I’m interested to see where this blog goes. Hopefully it will prove to be a smash hit. The concept is a good one, and one that every staffing and recruiting firm can learn from – building community with your clients, your candidates, and key influencers in your own local community. The challenge of course is making that sense of community happen. A blog is a great place to start. So is an e-newsletter. And the telephone. Community is about making people feel part of a special group. And that takes communication. By emulating what Bullhorn is doing in your own company, you can improve candidate and client loyalty, increase referrals, educate prospects, and gain an edge in the most important battle in the industry – building and maintaining relationships. Good luck to everyone at Bullhorn with this endeavor. I look forward to contributing, and I welcome anyone in the Bullhorn community to submit any marketing related questions…I’ll be happy to share my thoughts!
