Cognos for $5 billion
As some of you know, Bullhorn has a partnership with Cognos. This week, IBM and Cognos announced that IBM will acquire Cognos for $5 billion. This is tremendous validation of our partner’s leadership position in the marketplace. And, I personally feel good about the fact that I can finally point to someone who’s written a bigger check to Cognos than we did. This quote from Steve Mills, senior vice president and group executive, IBM Software Group stands out:
“Customers are demanding complete solutions, not piece parts, to enable real-time decision making,”
This is the premise that has driven Bullhorn’s product strategy since our inception in 1999. Our integrated platform approach is all about bringing disconnected solutions and systems together in ways that make people’s jobs easier. It’s paid huge dividends to date and we plan to continue to make investments like this in 2008.
Embedded Intelligence with According to Danny is the most recent addition to the Bullhorn platform and our game changing reporting and analytics integration, Bullhorn360, is on deck. Behind that, we have plans for integrations with VMS systems, user configurable Dashboards and a host of other innovations that will let recruiters and sales people connect, synchronize and place faster than any one else. As the year winds down, our engineering team is gearing up. We have some big wins behind us in 2007 and we’re all very excited about 2008.
