Bullhorn Sponsors SIA’s Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing
Staffing Industry Analysts recently launched its Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing, a list of 100 of the most powerful, influential women in the staffing industry. Bullhorn is proud to sponsor SIA’s effort to recognize this small representation of the women that work to change the world of staffing every day.
According to Staffing Industry Analysts, “women comprise only 6% of board seats at the 27 public staffing firms in the U.S.” That’s a startlingly low proportion of females in leadership positions, especially considering that 57% of women participate in the labor force. Despite the relatively small number of females in positions of influence within the staffing industry, however, SIA received an “overwhelming” number of nominations – so many, in fact, that the list was expanded from a proposed 50 women to 100 women.
Of the 50 women on the North American Power 100 – Women in Staffing, 16 of them work for Bullhorn customers. These women include Linda Galipeau, the CEO of Randstad North America and the first woman to sit on Randstad’s executive board, Nina Vaca, the chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Group in Dallas, and Robin Mee, the founder and president of Mee Derby. Bullhorn is proud to power the staffing processes of companies that feature influential women in leadership roles.
Read the Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing list to find out more about the female “policymakers, businesspersons, technologists, crusaders, leaders,” who are changing the way the world works. Also, be sure to nominate the women in staffing who you think should qualify for next year’s Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing list by filling out this form (at the bottom of the page). SIA points out that “anecdotal evidence indicates that women dominate the staffing industry,” and as the narrative of workforce gender continues to shift, more and more women will have the opportunity to be recognized for their talents and accomplishments in the staffing industry.
